I have been commissioned to do a large Mural in Sidney Street, Whitechapel, London. The Wall is 10 metres x 7 metres. This is the draft design on the theme of History of Whitechapel and community life, subject to development after community workshops. In the last month we have been meeting with All Saints school, Blue Gate Fields Junior School, John’s Place Tenants and Residents Association and an inter generational group at Sonali Gardens that is coordinated by InCommon. We have also been to the HSS depot in Beckton to look at the Scissor Lifts and have been measuring up the site to look at the logistics of access onto the site, alongside the wall.
